Bi Cineálta – Stand Up Week!
What a Week at Our Bi Cineálta – Stand Up Week! 🌈
What an incredible week it has been celebrating kindness, inclusion, and pride across our school community!
Throughout the week, every year group took part in powerful assemblies exploring anti-bullying, anti-racism, and anti-homophobia, reminding us all that everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported.
Our 1st Years were truly inspired by The Shona Project’s uplifting presentation on Kindness and Courage, a perfect message to start their journey in secondary school!
2nd Years had the privilege of meeting the amazing Dr. Manizha Khan, who shared her moving story of arriving in Ireland as a refugee. Her words encouraged us to embrace empathy, understanding, and global citizenship
Our School of Sanctuary Committee teamed up with Dr. Khan to brainstorm exciting ideas for our upcoming Multicultural Day! They proudly showcased our Welcome Footpath and School Pledge, symbols of our commitment to being a place where everyone belongs.
Meanwhile, our Pride Club filled the halls (and our stomachs!) with joy during their delicious Bake Sale in aid of Belong To. The whole school came together to celebrate Pride, wearing colourful Pride accessories and spreading messages of love and acceptance everywhere you looked!
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, baked, decorated, and supported, your enthusiasm made Bi Cineálta – Stand Up Week truly unforgettable.
Let’s keep standing up, speaking out, and spreading kindness every single day!
