Gaisce 2025
Our Bronze and Silver Gaisce group walked the Old Kenmare Way, from Upper Torc to the beautiful town of Kenmare. Spirits are high after walking nearly 20 kilometres. For the second day of our Gaisce trip, the TY and 5th Year students completed part of the Kerry Way in Kenmare, finishing at the beautiful Templenoe Pier. The TY students then headed home to Carrigtwohill, while the 5th Year Silver Gaisce group continued onto Killarney, for yet another beautiful walk around the grounds or Muckross. Bhí an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch!
Our thirteen 5th year students’ enjoyed their second overnight stay in Killarney last night, with another early start to tackle Torc Mountain today. They have been so blessed with the weather, and everyone including their teachers Ms O Leary, Ms Kenneally and Ms Egan enjoyed every minute of it! Well well done to our thirteen 5th year students’ who completed this national silver award, hiking 50km+ over the weekend! We are so proud of you!
Well done to all out students that completed theior Bronze and Silver Gaisce and thank you to our teachers for accompanying.
