National Bronze for St. Al’s Swim Team
We are incredibly proud to announce that our swim team who took home 3rd place at the Irish Senior Schools Relay in Dublin yesterday!
Following their successful qualification from the provincial rounds, our swim team travelled to the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin yesterday to compete in the Irish Senior Schools Relay. Competing against the top schools from across all four provinces, our girls delivered an outstanding performance in the 200m Medley Relay (Age 15-16 category), securing a National Bronze Medal.
The race was a masterclass in teamwork and precision:
Orna (Transition Year) set the pace with a powerful 50m Backstroke.
Isabella (2nd Year) maintained the momentum with a clinical 50m Breaststroke.
Jessica (2nd Year) took to the water for a swift 50m Butterfly leg.
Rene (Transition Year) provided a thrilling finish in the final 50m Freestyle.
Taking 3rd place in a national final is a testament to the girls' dedication and early morning training sessions. This is a massive achievement for the students involved and a proud day for the entire St. Al’s community.
Huge congratulations to Orna, Isabella, Jessica, and Rene on bringing national silverware back to the school!
