First Year School Tour

On Friday, our First Year students set off on an exciting and educational school tour filled with adventure, history, and plenty of fun along the way!

Their first stop was the fascinating Mitchelstown Caves, where students explored a hidden underground world of stunning rock formations. Guided through the caves, they learned all about how stalactites and stalagmites are formed over thousands of years!

Next, the group travelled to the iconic Rock of Cashel, where history truly came alive. Students had the chance to walk in the footsteps of kings and learn about one of Ireland’s most historic sites, rich in medieval architecture and cultural significance. From ancient legends to impressive stone structures, it was a fantastic way to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences.

Of course, no school tour is complete without some well-earned treats! The students enjoyed some food on the journey home. A brilliant day of learning beyond the classroom, full of discovery, friendship, and unforgettable memories!

A huge thank you to Mr. Linehan for organising such a fantastic trip, and to all the teachers who travelled with and supported the students throughout the day.
