House Fun Day 2026

Last Friday, the school community came together to celebrate our Annual House Fun Day, and it proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable occasion for all involved.

The day began in the Quad with face painting, refreshments and music, creating a lively and relaxed atmosphere. This was followed by a whole-school gathering in Glenmary Hall, where students and staff enjoyed a group dance to build excitement and energy ahead of the day’s events.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Centra, Mace and Aldi Carrigtwohill for their generous donations of fresh fruit, water and breakfast bars, which ensured that everyone was well fuelled throughout the day.

Activities then moved to Carrigtwohill GAA grounds, where students participated in a wide range of events including wacky races, team sports, garden games and inflatable activities. Our thanks also go to Glanmire Ice for providing lunch and ice cream, which was very much appreciated.

Following lunch, students enjoyed an outdoor live DJ set, which brought great energy to the afternoon with dance-offs and sing-alongs.

A highlight of the day was the annual soccer match between the teachers and the Sixth Year students, which was closely contested and thoroughly entertaining. The day concluded with a Tug of War between Yellow House and Purple House to determine this year’s overall winners.

Congratulations to Purple House, who were crowned House Cup Champions 2026.

The event was a wonderful celebration of school spirit, participation and community. We would like to thank all staff, students and supporters who contributed to making the day such a success.
