ISTA Senior Science Quiz
On Thursday, November 13th, 2025, two teams of our Sixth Year students, Ava, Leah, Faye, Aoife, Eimear and Lily proudly represented our school at the ISTA Senior Science Quiz Regional Final, held at University College Cork.
The students demonstrated exceptional teamwork, scientific knowledge and composure under pressure. We were delighted that one of our teams secured an impressive third place, rising above strong competition from more than 30 teams representing schools across Cork. This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work and enthusiasm of our students and their teachers.
Following their success in the regional round, Aoife, Eimear and Lily advanced to the National Final, which took place on Saturday, December 6th, at Trinity College Dublin. Competing against some of the brightest science students (51 teams) in the country is a remarkable accomplishment in itself, and we are extremely proud of how they represented our school on the national stage.
Massive congratulations to all involved, your dedication to science and your outstanding performance are an inspiration to the entire school community.
